Blacktide Raiders menace approaching Savage Coast!?

Plunder, pillage, loot. Those are the words which come to mind when hearing the name of the Blacktide Raiders. The news of the infamous pirate crew managing to survive the voyage thru the Maelstrom makes a many folks blood run cold. However it is said that Ganthos the Blackjack, former Pirate Lord since the times of Nec Demonwretcher and Captain Shadowtroll, has been lost at sea and now the cruel, vicious, unpredictable Argano ‘The Dreadeye’ Nitrospok has taken over command. Concerning the new Captain very little is known but he is described (from viable sources such as brothels and taverns) that he is a giant matching the size of a dragon and being able to cast down a rain of fire upon his enemies when there is need.

Neptulon has not forgiven their daring crossing of the Great Sea since half of their crew (if not more!) has been claimed by Him and now rests at the bottom of the sea. The Captain alongside other crew mates have been spotted recruiting in various ports around the Eastern Kingdoms.

Many fear that if the pirates reach the shores of Stranglethorn, the Savage Coast, it could trigger more combat in the area.

What the future shall bring is still open! However whatever it is we from the South Sea Daily assure you to be the first to write about it!

Mercenary Companies banding together!

Mercenary Companies creating mutual pact! As the world is still at war A.I.M. mercenary leader Jahraka Bloodtusk announced that Princess Island is now cooperating with famous and war proven Aghandor Darkwind of the Darkwind Company.

We received news that the base of operation shall be no other then the Jungles of Stranglethorn with the purest of intentions aiding Horde outpost of Grom’Gol. A.I.M. operatives commented that:
“Its about time we get back to our station! The job will be mostly patrolling roads, taking out enemy scouts and writing reports to Horde Warlords, might not be the most exiting job but better than staying idle!”

Aghandor Darkwind

Captain of the Darkwind Company – Aghandor has operated before in service of the Horde in Outland – Hellfire Peninsula – Thrallmar as special explosive expert and engineer. However his biographies (and scars) prove of a wide variety of other skills!

We’ve been also told that his current task, which is according to rumors of great importance, will lead him in the upcoming weeks to the shores of Kalimdor!

As wars goes on the mercenary shall always have missions!

Economic Crisis reaching Azeroth!?

Mild Spice Prices reaching 15 gold a sack! Unheard of for every gourmet and cook from far and near as the supply of the delicious ingredient are so short that merchants pump up prices into oblivion! The South Sea Daily crew went into a journey to investigate this crisis and find the reasons of the stopped shipments from the South Seas!

We swiftly managed to find Captain Narsing Swiftstream, Goblin Merchant in the service of the Steamwheedle Cartel, his comments concerning the lack of shipments towards Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms were as following:

“Trading becomes harder and harder with each day, lack of spices is currently one of the lesser problems! Lack of slaves is the real problem! If we don’t have workers on the Islands to cultivate the so-ever-cheap Mild Spices we cannot produce it in big measures, so we pump the prices, we have to make a living after all!”

“But what is the reason behind the lack of slaves in the Goblin Cartels then?”

“We don’t enslave our own, look, we count on war, but not our own but those of the taller fellas. Ever since the Horde and the Alliance dropped all parleys and slash each other to death how can we get some prisoners of war? They take em, sell em, we buy em and that’s the deal usually…but now it’s to the oh-so-bitter-end! Curses I sez! Thanks to that we lack numbers in here! How ya wanna have anything from under these conditions!?”

“The South Seas are mainly populated by Goblins and Trolls, the Cartels posses great mercenary armies why not make use of the trolls then?”

“Trolls are bad slaves, ever tried to shackle one and explain him what to do!? He cuts of his limbs and humps away or maybe leaves a stone axe in your head before that even! I tell ya trolls didn’t know this trick before! Bad tidings this be I sez, for when there are no workers there will be more goblin sweat on the plantations!”

Truly we can confirm that the Islands producing various spices, fruits and other common exportable resources run on low production! If this does carry on might we see high prices on about everything? Or must the population of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms rely on their own resources?

I just thought if they sell those along with the rest of the ‘trophy’s’ in a living form down to the Islands we wouldn’t have these problems now!”

War rages on in southern Eastern Kingdom!

War all over the place! For over a week now Horde fighters stream to the jungles of Stranglethorn and assault the Alliance territory of Duskwood. As the fighting goes on reports from the war zone reach us humble reporters who (despite courage!) cannot enter the field of battle! Grom’Gol Base Camp proved as very effective outpost and we see daily more Zeppelins carrying the doom of many Alliance soldiers, and despite the numbers it seems Duskwood cannot be taken or overrun.

We managed to interview one of the Horde soldiers stationed in Grom’Gol just before venturing north for further battle!

“Many thanks for taking the time! So apparently you rallied some troops to finally make into Alliance territory? No doubt by order of some great Warlord or General of the Horde?”

“Order? Look, the job is done up in Northrend and you can’t guess the amount of Horde veterans who are bored to death! Hehe…death, you get it? Cause I’m a forsaken…and stuff… Anyway! It was just me and a couple o’ others who went last week or something into here and thought of that we haven’t killed any Alliance ***** of lately! It became a trend, damn mainstream…”

“So you’re saying this is a voluntary act of the Northrend veterans to destroy the Alliance!?”

“Ehm…more or less.”

What does puzzle many is that despite the Alliance holding of the Horde threat (?) there are supposed to be far more Alliance soldiers in the region, and if yes, where are they? Is the battle for southern Azeroth seeing a surprise attack from behind or some other unexpected twist in events? Only time will tell! But we shall be there to report first!

Failed Assassination of Horde General – the truth and the reasons!

Dear readers, today we bring you fresh news directly from the Horde capital of Orgrimmar. The city witnessed a failed attempt to take out General and Warsong orc – Katalmach Duskclaw during an official meeting of Horde defenses. Our reporters and investigators were rudely repelled from the crime scene and wasn’t allowed to ask further questions, never the less we from the South Sea Daily found out the truth and the details behind this spectacle!

For many such actions come as no surprise, in the past months various Horde forces have been on the edge of tribal wars and the disappearing of Horde officers under mysterious circumstances has increased of late. What this specific case makes it so interesting that the assassin is no other than a Horde officer holding the rank of Warbringer!

We managed to acquire legally a copy of the minutes from the meeting where the Warsong General, after a request from his wannabe killer to speak to the council refers as, and we quote:” An oddly timed request, Warbringer, but granted.”

Warbringer Bruttas then held a small speech praising the skills of his own General before he took out a hidden blade wounding him, before he was chopped into pieces by the surrounding guards.

This on first sight pointless way to give his life, taking in consideration shamans were present and preserved General Duskclaw from heavy blood loss and death, raises the question not why, but who? Who is the one having more control of a Horde Warbringer then his own General? Obviously this new enemies influence and power is far greater than many believed, it is no surprise that General Duskclaw has enemies, yet this one has access to inner defense meetings.

South Sea Daily keeps an eye out for what will happen next. Official statements say that the victim is recovering but we weren’t allowed to interview him personally, no doubt the situation is far grimmer then they pretend it to be!

Princess Island under control! South Sea Daily back in business!

After several month suppression we are more than happy to finally being able to report for News from far and beyond! For over a whole month the active conflict between pirate forces and the mercenary companies on our beloved home of Princess Island lasted! But at last the intruders and treacherous Bloodsail Blackhands have been repelled and the Island is under the Government of A.I.M. founding member and respected local Ockham Wolfrage.

While the circumstances under which the pirates had access to infiltrate the Island and prepare riots from within are unclear it is certain that the situation is now fully under control and the damaged Fort is being rebuild.

In this time we recall that additional reinforcements from the Inland Company (also named A.I.M) have been forced to come to aid for the mercenary headquarters. We sadly report that while brave fighters have fallen and others came to the rescue those who stayed dared to overwhelm the official leadership and usurp the Inland station.

We from the South Sea Daily bring this matter up and announce that by word of the current Governor of the Island and the A.I.M. company leader Broken Axe all former Inland mercenaries who do not immediately surrender or leave the Inland station with its full equipment shall be proclaimed outlaws and hunted down.
